Head Ann H/Kinshella, son Edward, daughter Elizabeth Ward
This is 1881 census in Kirbymoorside North Riding of Yorkshire.
The family includes Elizabeth Ward who marries William Dale and dies before the 1891 census leaving her two illegitimate daughters and nephew David Ward in his care.
David is the one I need to trace but if I could find his father, presumably Elizabeth's brother that may be a start.
I have David in 1901, 1911 and marriage etc but can't find birth or parents.
I think Elizabeth and any brother were also illegitimate!
Any help would be gratefully received but I may not be quick responding - grandchilldren in residence.

Wow thank you all. I have a lot to plough through there. I know the area well and so many places register in Kirby or Helmsley it's difficult to pin a village. They family seems to thrive on illegitimate children!
I have no certs as this is my son's partner's family which I have only just started after they had a little girl!
