Which is the correct one, does anyone have any suggestions how I can find out please...

Sarah was widowed between 1835 and 1841, at least I'm assuming she was as John isn't with the family in 1841, she was definitely widowed on 1851 census, her last child was born 1835...

I would say that Rolinson is unlikely: you'd expect two l's with that name

Have you looked for a baptism for Sarah?


In all honesty, I think the only way to be absolutely sure would probably be to look at the original at the Records Office, as she didn't have children after July 1837

Would appear that all the Stanley children were baptized in Bristol, on two different dates in 1834, irrespective of birth year or place...why, I guess that will remain a mystery but still working on the connection between Bristol and Dudley....
