Wow, thanks so much have looked at you tube and that's them. I think probabley they never married and for being a "star" of that time just took on his name. Its nice to actually see what happened to her as she died alone in a flat in London .

I wonder if "Irene Florence" changed her name for on the stage????

Don and Delores Graham sounds so much more upmarket than Don and Irene or Don and Florence :-)

again ............ there are quite a few references on Google to Don and Delores

if you Google Petro and Petrova adagio dancers ............ there are several references come up to the newspaper archives, on GR and on the British Newspaper Archives site itself.

There also were Dawnya and Petrova adagio dancers in 1930 a video on google and Don and Delores Graham adagio dancers in a film in 1947 on Youtube.

I wonder if there could be a connection somewhere!

She was actually my father in laws sister they believed she had married but as they travelled around as the Petro and Petrova act a dancing sensation act in the 40s then moved to London where she worked in Harrods. I tried to look up this act on the internet to see if they gave out her partners real name. She was nothing like the rest of the family who were farming people. probably the first to travel away from home so we don't know where she found her husband and dance partener

I have the above information what I am missing is a marriage for her. She died 1991 in Lambeth London as Irene Florence Graham. I have a photo of the dance act they toured England as and it says on the back Irene and Graham. As her surname is Graham when she died I cant find any records of a Graham Graham in fact I cant find a marriage at all.

Can anyone help I am trying to find a marriage for Irene Florence Griffin, she died Lambeth London Irene Florence Graham 1991. What I do know is she worked as a beautician in Harrods but before that was Petro and Petrova dancers who appeared in Hippodromes around England. I have a post card with her on and on the back it says Irene and Graham. Did she just take on this name? I don't know as card would suggest this was his first name.
