Sometimes you have to think out of the box.

Searched for Caleb with father Jonas in 1901 and Davis was the one that came up.
After that it's just a case of researching it back.

I am assuming the document where Caleb Davis is 15 is the 1901 census and certainly the names on it look 100%

What is the one where Jonas is age 6? is that the 1861 census? that makes sense if it is.

So Jonas was born Wilmott to a single mum she married Jonas Davis and he took on the name of Davis and then before he got married in 1906 he went back to being Jonas wilmott!

Confusing but looks right_ how do you ever find these things out. thank you very much

Caleb Wilmott was born in 1885 in Bristol UK. Father Jonas Wilmott (born 1857) and mother Emily.
I have found him in the 1891 census living in mangotsfield bristol with his parents and brothers Herbert and Sidney.

I have found him in 1911 census living in bristol with his wife Rose.
I cant seem to find him or Jonas and emily in the 1901 census.
I have tried various spellings to no avail and know how on here you seem to find them very quickly.
Can anyone help?
