I've just updated a previous post from 2004.
Double barrelled surnames/marriages/connections are all of interest. I have a family history memoir compiled by my G'ma's cousin back in the 1950s. All the data included has proved very accurate until I get back to 3 & 4 x gt grandparents. 4 x gt g'parents supposedly Joseph Wakefield & Susan Livermore. Susan b. 1745? reputed to be one of 6 daughters of a Mr Livermore, Freeman of Maldon, Essex, who married, for a second time to a widow Platt, whose sons from her first marriage adopted the name Livermore.
Despite finding Maldon Livermore's who were Freemen, a marriage of Stephen Livermore to a (spinster) Sarah Platt (some of their children used Platt as a middle name) and the fact that these Livermores & Platts shared the occupation of cordwainers/shoemakers, like other branches of my family I have failed to find Susan, or her marriage to Jos. Wakefield.
I've been looking for over 30 years. Jack H Baxter found a marriage of a Susan Platt to Jos Wakefield in the Essex Marriage Index but it still hasn't been possible to confirm a link.

Have you looked to see if anyone on here has those families in their trees?

Added:
Do you mean they use one of those surnames as a middle name?

Or are you wanting marriages between the two?

I'd like to hear from anyone who has the name Platt-Livermore or Livermore-Platt in their family, or knows of any links between the 2 families, especially in Essex, in order to hopefuly help clarify a mystery involving my 4 x great grandparents
