Perhaps I should consider subscribing to Ancestry in the future.

It's odd that FindMyPast do have the correct transcription as shown on safc's post.

Perhaps it's recently been retranscribed on FMP and the change hasn't filtered through to GR?

GR cannot amend anything, as they don't transcribe anything

If someone with a sub to FMP would find the entry he or she could submit a correction on there, which will eventually filter through to this site

I don't believe that GR transcribes these records so can't make any corrections. Their census records are from Find My Past where Alice's name has been mistranscribed.

In the process of researching Archibald George Dimmock (b.c. 1892) I have found him in the 1911 census. However the G.R. transcription of the census shows an Alice Audrey Dimmock as living at the same address (48 Chobham St. Luton Beds.) I am certain that this is incorrect and from the original document it clearly shows Alice as Boughton, and the GR needs amending.
However I do not know how to go about this and so maybe one of the experts out there could verify the error and have it corrected. If I am correct, do I collect some brownie points?
