Have struck brick wall with my ancestors in Stirlingshire. Scotland.
Duncan Allan and his wife Elizabeth Richardson. Found baptisms for his 7 children in Airth. Stirling. Scotland. My direct link is Mary Allan, 15June 1718. There were 5 others. James, Andrew, William, Alexander and a second James Both James seem to have died. Found these records on OPR of Scotlands' people. Can find no marriage or deaths for Elizabeth or Duncan. Also no proven births for these two. Mary married William Borrowman about 1742. Any help much would be much appreciated.

If you live locally, have you tried looking at the burial records in The Mitchell Library? My husband had ancestors from Airth and his GGG Grandmother died before statutory records began. I found her date of death and the cause of death in the records at The Mitchell. The graveyard at Airth Church is well kept and I was able to get more information from the family headstones.
