	Sorry to everyone for not replying was unsure how to use the site. The person I'm trying to find out if dead or not is my father, he dies I believe feb 27th 2012. His name Robert Bragg from Northhallerton North Yorkshire Thanks for helping and sorry for not getting back to you sooner James

	If the person died in Scotland, you can find deaths up to and including 2013, on ScotlandsPeople. http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk You'd have to buy credits to see the details of the record.
