Hi ,am looking for relatives of Timothy for a friend, who is not into the family tree search.
Timothy was born Tralee /Ireland in 1930 his mothers maiden name was Flynn,(during his youth he spent 9 years in St Josephs Industrial School in Tralee in the late 50`s he left Dublin and came to the Uk and lived in Bridghton/Luton and Shrewsbury in the late 60`s he was living and working in Coventry has a mechanic.
My friends then tell me that in the late 70`s/80`s an Aunt of Timothys said that he had committed suicide.
my friend is Timothy`s sister who had moved abroad and had lost touch with him,the aunt is now dead.
Timothys sister has contacted the DWP ,but unfortunately they would not give any details -so this has made her think that he might be alive(although he would be 84).
There seems to be no report in the newspapers UK/Irish of a suicide -familysearch and freebmd have nothing.
Of course Timothy might have married -and if so there ma be relatives to get in
touch with
so any help would be appreciated
thank you

best thing you can do Elizabeth is use the "Search" facility top right hand corner of this page to discover whether there are trees on this site which include these people - you then have the opportunity - if you find a conection - of contacting the tree owner[s] through the site

Did you look for any death using exact date of birth?

Does your friend think he could have returned to Ireland, or absolutely no knowledge of England or Ireland?

Hi Jan
Timothy`s sister has the birth details, and she could not remember if Timothy had a middle name or not,in my first post I put details of his 9 year stay in St Josephs ,his sister tried to contact the home in Tralee -his stay there was horrendous and he was due and had been awarded compensation for the abuse that he suffered,so she tried contacting the courts to see if they had any details on him ,but of course they couldn't give info out

This might be the death the aunt was referring to but there is no way of knowing if this is the correct person:

P.S. - I don't think it can be him as there is a son buried in the grave who would have been born around 1942.

well if it his him,and that is the death that is Aunt referred to I can find no notes about any suicide anywhere in UK or Ireland ,and the Aunt was certain that he had committed suicide
