District 5 has 23-125 and 46-88 Roan Street. No St James Place. End of story I suspect. Closing. |

It is definitely a Stoner family with Ancestry's 1911 STONE being a transcription error, obvious from the source. And James Henry is the 1860 one, there being at least six such births in the Greenwich RD. |

Just to confirm that this looks to be the couple from the 1896 marriage:- |

That's the address that James Henry born 1880 gives on his Enlistment to the army in 1897.but I couldn't find them there in 1901 |

Thanks, Thelma. I'm wondering whether St James' Place West is located in or off Roan Street? If this is the case, it looks as if it may have been missed off the census |

Thanks Chris. Error for Harris I think. Another family, another thread - with at least nine births! I'll look at freereg. |

That's the same image and family. Emma's birth location is unclear as it has been overwritten. Should be Wansdworth, Surrey, as in 1891. |

For our info - FMP transcription with a slightly better attempt than Ancestry. Father only has initial not full first name and it does look like the J that they have transcribed for son J Stoner. If Emm(er) was born Essex, could they still be in that area? |
