Hi, 1851 Census Williams wife Mary living with 3 sons at Thorncliffe Kirkburton,

1861 Census Mary is a widow at 70, Birth town Hockerton not Flockton as previous, looks like same family Hanah was there daughter.

On her birthrecord as well as brother Thomas, father William was a Cooper not sure if born or living at Emley, at one point living at Thorncliffe, think this is on Hanahs birth record (Ancestry)

There was a William born at Sandal-Magna which boundry was nearly up to Emley at one point, b1783 father a cooper so could this be a link? thanks.

Emley is just down the road from West Clayton, so how about this one? There are lots of choices, he may have been christened away from Emley or not christened at all.

However, what makes you think he was christened in Emley around 1790? If he was born then, and died aged 50, then he may not be on the 1841 census and even if he was his place of birth would not be given.

Do you have the family on a census at all, if so can you post it please.
