According to a tree on Ancestry the George who died in Lanark, Ontario was born Startforth, Yorkshire, son of George Simpson & Catherine Cooke.

Mark, how did you get back to this family? And what sort of info are you looking for?

there are Ancestry trees with a George Simpson married to an Esther Howles-Wheeldon, but he is born Startforth, Yorkshire, parents George and Catherine (Cooke).

John Simpson 1831 Hyde is the son of Thomas and his wife Mary Ormerod. John has a brother George who appears to of been born in the same year. George Married Esther Wheeldon. Any information on John would be most appreciated.
