Julia, when you add a post to the previous thread it will move it to the top of the boards so everyone can see it, plus it also moves it up the "My Threads" list of people who have previously helped and are familiar with the family so you get the best of both - people who "know" the family plus potential fresh eyes.

That's why Genes have the "one thread per family" rule.

Hi Marie, I was going to do that but thought nobody would see it and reply as that has happened before. Plus whom I am looking for is not the child William but his parents William & Martha Ann. I will just see what happens and if nothing I will try my old thread.

William B1884 Northamptonshire to parents William & Martha Stanton.
I have posted a William Henry Stanton (son) recently, have just rec his marriage certificate, he was born 1909 Northamptonshire. I would like to trace backwards now to find out about his parents. Have no idea when they married but know they had three sons but only one (my William) before 1911. Is it possible for somebody to help me with this, it would be much appreciated.
