I am trying to find what or where a Webster Harmer who went in Australia.
He left his family in England about 1912 went to Australia saying he would send for his family but never did.
Any information would be helpful.
Thanks in advance

This one had a father called Webster Harmer. (from the Australian National Archive)

HARMER Walter : Service Number - 2674 : Place of Birth - Hull England : Place of Enlistment - Blackboy Hill WA : Next of Kin - (Father) HARMER Webster

Age 20 in 1916 (birth c1896) his records state that he was missing, presumed KIA.

Obviously no link with your Webster, but posted so that any records for a Webster Harmer aren't confused with the father of Walter

Thank you all for the info it is very useful. It seem that Webster was a bad boy and so disappeared. This family is connected to my other post re John Lawrence Coates as the wife of Webster Harmer was the sister of John Lawrence.
This family seems to have had many problems.
I dread to think what will turn up next.
Best wishes to all
Barbara
