Thanks ,I will get a birth certificate.I cannot remember where I got the 1831 from.it was in the early days before I realised the value of noting down sources.I do not make that mistake anymore.Dunygall was the way it was spelt then.Thankyou both.

I would think her birthplace was actually Donegal

How did you find out the year of the marriage without also finding the woman's surname?

I am looking for the maiden name of my 3x Greatgrandmother.She married Robert Gilbert in 1831.He was in the military (96 reg of foot) stationed in Salford.All I have is the name Mary from Dunygall in Ireland.Could anybody point me in the right direction pleased.Thanks
