Can enyone help me here,
My wifes great grandfather, Wilson Hobson is listed as the son of Hy Fisher presumably Henry, and Harriet Fisher in the 1881 Census, living at Skelmanthorpe, what would be the
likely reason for a surname difference?
The 1911 census for Ernest and Gladys Hobson living at Water St Scissett (cildren of Wilson, state they are in the household of there grandmother Harriet Fisher, looks like widow of Henry), which seems to confirm. thanks.
