Melancholy Case Of Suicide Re Janet Mair or McNeill She had been arrested on the Friday for being in posession of a large quantity of twine, thought to be stolen! Edit: dob 1839? Newspaper says she was aged between 50 and 60yrs?

Member Since: August 2003 Posts: 25 Send Message	Trying to find out how I can find details of her crime which led to her suicide in Glasgow Police Station on 3.7.1857. I have contacted the Mitchell Library in Glasgow but they told me that the police records for Glasgow for that time have been lost. I have also checked local newspapers but found nothing. Any ideas? all help appreciated. Teres
