I think you are right Margee.

Looks like Pauper, formally Weaver (canvas) to me too especially after looking at the 1841 census image where this is the occupation of most of his neighbours.

I know it doesn't look like it but looking at others on that page and the next page I believe it's pauper formerly weaver (canvas). In 1841 he's an ag lab but others on the page are canvas weavers.

Goodness...it is difficult. Definitely NOT gamekeeper but might be weaver as the others on the page seem to be?
