Seeking any information about my paternal grandmother. I believe she was married to John Cherry in Pontypool in 1940.

Welcome to the boards Cheralyn .......... think we may need a bit more info to find the correct birth for her ...... age, father's name or any siblings?

Betty E Reed/John E J Cherry according to the marriage, it looks like he was local, born in 1920, died in 1970. Did they split up as there appears to be a re-marriage for her in 1954 in Somerset?

Cheralyn has her as born in 1925, no place specified, in her tree on here - so possibly just a guess.

If so, you should get the marriage certificate for more information.

Added:
If she was born approx. 1925 in the Bristol district, then this one is possible:
Births Sep 1924
Reed Betty E Wakefield Long Ashton 5c 831

The husband should be easy to find from the 1954 marriage......

Did Betty marry again in 1970?

And possibly again in 1983?
