He married Annie Mary Marshall in 1894.

Thank you so much. I found out yesterday that he is buried in the same grave as my great grandfather Walter Wallis and my grand aunt May Wallis so trying to see if he is related or not as on my great grandfather second marriage the witnesses were a Ernest Arthur & Emma Smith and also on one of my grand uncle marriages the witnesses were also Smiths.

Thank you so much his full name was Joseph Henry Palmer Smith if that helps to find him on 1901 & 1911 census please.

Can't seem to find him or his father on the 1901 census. Perhaps they are missing census records or mistranscribed.

Will keep looking.

OK not to worry I'm most likely barking up the wrong tree just odd that so may Smiths on as witnesses on marriages AND its my ;luck its so common a name.
