looking for information on a Miss Johan Peter who gave birth to a boy(my grandad)on 21st april 1935.She gave birth in Sheffield but lived in Blackpool.Any info on what happened to her or her family history please get in touch.Clare

Can I just ask you how you know where Johan lived - do you happen to have an address for her there? (I assume you are 100% sure of the spelling - this name sounds European, Dutch maybe??).

If you look on FreeBMD, you'll see the marriage of a Johan Peter in Scarborough in 1955.
Maybe worth investigating, as it's such an unusual name. (Also listed with the alternative surname of Atkinson.)

There is someone who has a Johan Peter born 1909 in his tree.....might be worth a message, he looks to be a fairly new member

Johan can be a Scottish name.

There's this birth in Scotland,(possibly the person in the tree Jax mentioned) just as a suggestion, as I can't see the birth of a Johan Peter in England/Wales:

I agree, Jax - it's Lilian, though I find the surname too faint to read at all.

Thanks for everyones replies,all the information we have is off my Grandads birth certificate,her address is 128 Bentral Drive Blackpool but his birth was registered in Sheffield.There is a line put through anything regarding his father so no info there and I'm presuming she was unmarried she has no title on the certificate her name I spelt as it is on the document.
