Thanks for all your replies but I already have his birth, three marriages & most census. I just want to know where he was in 1851 & when he changed from being a coachmaker to a timekeeper. Potty thanks I 'll check that tree on ancestry for images etc.

A tree on Ancestry has his first wife as Jane Ann Foote - the tree seems very well researched and has images of birth, marriages and death for Thomas.

Could someone please look up the 1851 census in Scotland for me.

Jane Ann b1828 "
William bc1849 Scotland
Agnes bc1850 "
They were still be in Scotland somewhere, more than likely still around Edinburgh, as the next daughter was born in Scotland in1853. By 1861 they had moved to Co.Durham & Thomas was a timekeeper.
