Find Ancestors

My father was adopted at the age of 3 weeks in March 1933. His mother died giving birth to him and he female twin (who also died during the birth).
we were always led to believe that there were other children born before my father, however I can't find any. He was born in Lewisham. Can anyone help me please

Do you know when his parents were married or what his mother's first name was?

I think if there were other children they would have to be from a previous marriage as the obvious marriage in Lewisham is 1931?

I think the marriage in 1921 is much more likely to be the correct one.

The birth certificate for Douglas will give you the parents full names

The Poplar births are possibly from this marriage?
