Would anyone be kind enough to look up on Ancestry in "Hampshire England extracted parish records" the marriage of Robert Adams Wadham to Emily Foster Trotter ,Foster Ellis at Easterby Fort Hants 1813-I am trying to sort out Emily's birth date and as their are 3 names after the Emily it is confusing.I think her Christian names were Emily Foster therefor she could have been married to either Trotter or Ellis'her age, status and father's name would be a great help Thanks

This is the record:

Hampshire, England, Allegations for Marriage Licences, 1689-1837
about Emily Foster Trotter
Emily Foster Trotter

Gender:Female
Allegation Date:12 Jun 1813
Allegation Place:Portsea, Hampshire, England
Residence:Portsea, England
Spouse: Robert Adams Wadham
Spouse Gender:Male
Spouse Age:21
Spouse Residence:Portsea, England

Robert is a batcherlor; Emily a widow

The image is of a typed list.

The names appear on the list hyphenated, ie Wadham, Robert-Adams & Emily-Foster Trotter. Foster Ellis of the same (ie Portsea), and Easterby Fort, master gunner, bondsman.

Robert is 21; no age is given for Emily.

Perhaps her maiden name was Foster and she had previously married a Mr Trotter?

Looking at the next page, where there are two Christian names, they are hyphenated.

The record isn't for the actual marriage - this explains:

Description:
Before these Hampshire couples ever said “I do” they said “I don’t” in these details from allegations stating there were no impediments to the planned marriage. Records come from the registry of the Bishop of Winchester, 1689–1837.

If Emily was 21 when she married in 1805, the age on the 1851 is way out! DOB would have been about 1784.
