Member Since: February 2006 Posts: 50 Send Message	I am looking for a birth/baptism for a Mary Ann Hodgkiss born 1834/35 in Bilston, Staffs. I have found her in the 1841 Census with her parents (William and Sarah) and two siblings (Sarah and William) also in the 1851 Census with her mum (Sarah) and siblings (Sarah, Elizabeth and Henry) but cannot find her birth/baptism. I have checked out the familysearch website as well as freereg website but am unable to find her. Mary Ann passed away in 1917 in Timaru, NZ aged 82 therefore I believe this is the Mary Ann in the 1841 and 1851 Census. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Rose

	There is this and I cant see her with this name on the censuses? Member Since: February 2006 Posts: 50 Send Message	You are a gem Gins. I have her parents as William and Sarah Hodgkiss and yes that could be them. She passed away on the 19 July 1917 so that would make her birth as 1835. Thank you so much. Take Care Rose :-)

	There isn't a Mary Ann Hodgkiss in the Bilston parish records with parents William and Sarah but there is an ATKISS. ATKISS Mary Anne William & Sarah 12 Jul 1835 Bilston Labourer There are no further children for William and Sarah Atkiss so it could well be a mistranscription.
