Hi, Ruth -
Do you mean your family are somehow related to the Engledews whom we've researched in the rest of this thread?
If not, are you wanting help with your tree? (Thank you for your PM, telling me the same as in your post above.)
If it's a different family, you'd be better to have a thread of your own . But best to add something to the end of your earlier thread, rather than start a new one: http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards/board/ancestors/thread/362731 It will then come back to the top of the list of threads, and some of the helpers here may help you with research and information.
BUT - change the title of that thread - don't have your own name as the title. Instead, call it "Clement Engledew", or something else to let people know what you want researched.
I see you also added to the end of this thread: http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards/board/ancestors/thread/1113138 Is that yet another different lot of Engledews, or do you think they're related to you?

If these are your ancestors you may find this link to baptisms for St Faih's Gaywood Norfolk useful:

David,
If all you know is her birth year and marriage, then you need to apply for those 2 certificates for more information (and confirmation of suggested family posted).
As she was born in 1935, then she can easily be still alive.
If you are attempting to find her, then could you explain what her connection to you is?
If you are trying to find out about her ancestors, then it is more fun to do it yourself, having got her birth certificate and worked out who her parents are, and that the information posted so far is accurate.

FreeBMD shows 7 Engledew births in Sunderland with mms Burns (1915 - 38).
If you buy Elizabeth's birth cert, it will tell you her father's name.
There's this marriage, the date of which would fit with all those births:
Marriages Dec 1914 (>99%) Burns Mary E Engledow Sunderland 10a 1299 Engledow William Burns Sunderland 10a 1299

Could you explain how you've got back to Elizabeth please - just so we know the connection as it helps in research.
There is no Engledew/Burns marriage (that I can see), but many women were widows after WW1 so the mother may have been married before. Do you have Elizabeths birth or marriage cert to give details of her father?

What research have you already done? There are 6 Engledew/Burns children born between 1925-1938 according to freebmd - have you checked these out?
