family search has several children for a Francis and an Elizabeth baptised at East Hendred, but I can't find a baptism for a Dennis.

There is however a baptism for a son Francis, who tallies well with the Francis aged 30 in the census 1841 I posted earlier:

So it would seem that Dennis was living with widowed Francis Dandridge and two of his children by Elizabeth Smith in census 1841, and I suspect it is quite likely he is also their son, though it is possible he is some other form of relative such as nephew.
