Just wondering if anyone is researching the Fardoe and Edwards families. John Fardoe b 1844 appears on the 1901 census running the Horse and Jockey Inn, Northwood, Wem, Shropshire. He is shown as married to Margaret nee Edwards b 1846. Their children are Charles b 1875, Richard, b 1879 and Ellenor b 1881.

I have John Fardoe b1843 in 1881 married to Margaret Edwards b1846 possibly in 1871 but I can't find John Fardoe b1843 on the 1871 census. His parent - Richard Fardoe b 1806 and Lydia Fardoe b 1812 are on both the 1851 and 1871 census.

Maybe he was travelling at that time.

You say "married to Margaret Edwards b1846 possibly in 1871" - rather than go with "possibly" I'd suggest checking when the marriage DID happen, as that would give a clue as to whether you should be looking for him alone or with a wife:
