Well I am doing edward marland...and he had Alice marland in 1889 with an elizabeth marland nee I think Wilkinson. He also married Sarah Robinson in 1889,,... we seem to think he was a bigamist...not for certain..but it looks that way. Think if I got that certificate it would hopefully say that edward marlin...marland had father Joshua.

Why do you think that is the right marriage for Elizabeth Wilkinson and not the other one in 1871 in Burnley

Hello
Can anyone please do a look up on either the 1871 or 1881 census for elizabeth marland born approx 1855, living in burnley. She married edward marland in 1871 when she would only have been around sixteen. The marriage is down as edward marlin I think...burnley registry office...but I did not note wether she was actually born in burnley. I have no certificate so not sure who her father or mother are?
