One of the reasons I asked for the probate was that I had seen that newspaper request in 1940 for Amos's whereabouts but could not link an Eliza Tatham to him or find an Eliza Tatham's death around 1940 in Ilkeston. I do know that Amos died in 1957 so you have found me the correct will and established who his daughter Mabel married.

All those Tathams were indeed the same family, it could be the notice related to a much older will.

The Nat. Archive entry relates to when Amos was about 18yrs. I think!
