yes this is the birth I have attributed to him as the Edward Eric comes
down through the generations. Wondering if the L middle of his fathers name is "Longmate" as this also comes down through the generations

Hi Iam requesting some assistance again thanks
Read on a little gravestone attached to avery large gravestone in Quarrington Cemetery at St Botolphs Church today.
The large Grvestone is Mary Smith died 1913 wife of Edward Smith
The small stone that has been placed next to it reads
"Affectionate Remembrance of Edward Eric Eldest son of David and Jessie L.Smith wounded in Flanders Aprl 1916 died as a result of war service July 12th 1944 aged 46 years erected by his sister Ivy"
This is a Sleaford family and I have found his birth but cannot find his parents or his sister Ivy
Also anyone any military records relating to this man as not sure from the gravestone if he died as a result of war in 1944 or his from his injury in 1916
Would appreciate any help as would like to put him in his rightful place on the family tree
Thankyou :-)
