Hello

I had the details of this ancestor somewhere but I can't find them, but I am looking for help with his military record as Soldiers wills have now been released in Scotland

Thomas Scott Thomson born 17/08/1897 in Larkhall to Thomas Scott Thomson and Margaret Lang, he died on 21/02/1917 and is buried in Le Harve.

Can someone fill in the details of his army record for me

Thanks

If the soldiers wills are on Scotlandspeople then you need to purchase credits as it is not a subscription site.

You can do a free search on SP to see if one exists

I think his will is listed as there is one with the same rank number.

Nothing coming up for him in a search in Soldiers' Wills on SP.

ADDED:

Oh, yes, here it is, but with a different date of death, which is why I couldn't find it:

1839 THOMSON THOMAS TROOPER HOUSEHOLD BN. HOUSEHOLD CAVALRY RESERVE REGIMENTS 02/02/1917 DIED FRANCE AND FLANDERS

You need 10 credits to view it (plus one to find the above record, in order to then choose either the view or buy option) or you can buy a copy (4 pages) for £2.50 from SP.
