Hi, can any of you good people help me please.

I am searching for the birth of. Robert John Alexander McClelland.
His army papers say he was born in Portglenone Co Antrim Ireland.His father was John.

According to his death certificate he as born about 1829.

I have his Army Papers ..his Marriage certificate,and Death certificate.

If anyone could find him in Irish Birth records I would be most grateful.

You won't find a birth.................you may find a baptism

Unfortunately, civil registration of Irish births only began in 1864, although some earlier church records survive.

Record Coverage (civil)
1864 – 1921, all 32 counties in Ireland
1922 – 1958, 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland

Robert married twice Harriet Ackley 1852 & Ellen Carr 1865

Both marriages list his father as John, a carpenter

Do you know if Robert had any siblings?
