Unfortunately one of those trees with the photos (2VOWER-1) is the one that has his Father as dead in 1847 and the son born in 1851.

But Ian asked for immigration records, not proof of parentage. (Another tree has his father as Alexander Marshall)

Trees on ancestry have his parents as Robert Douglas and Elizabeth Atkinson. They also claim that Robert died in 1847.
