Member Since: June 2005 Posts: 40 Send Message	Hello, I started my family tree years ago, having done really well finding ancestors from my mothers side but always drew a blank with my fathers side so I have started again in hope there were new records been added over the years but still I have not found any thing new and would appreciate any help please I have his marriage certificate but cannot find his birth, therefore can't find his mother William Thomas Orr Spouse: Emily Thomas Both aged 19 years Williams father: William Samuel orr d. 1967 Bury, Lancashire Emily's father: Samuel Thomas Registered at Bury, lancashire April 1952 This is all I have and cannot seem to find anymore please any help Thankyou Sarah

	Have you considered that the family maycome from outside England/Wales ?

	William's death certificate should show his place of birth, - ..If the informant knew that information.

	There is this William T Orr birth its 5y out, but that may not be unusual, William T Orr mth Gibson Dec Q 1928 Isle Wight 2b 885 not able to find a marriage Orr / Gibson a marriage for William S Orr to Evelyn M Malone Sep Q 1938 Hatfield 3a 4070 may be of use for father of William S Orr if the right one ???? 	Have you looked for William Samuel in the 1911 census? It may give a clue as to where the family came from. I can't see a marriage for William S. in England

	Sarah We did not have to produce our birth certificates when we married in 1967 ................. so I doubt they would have done it in 1952

	The Orr birth MMN Gibson is this one in the Isle oh Wight (Tannahill not Thomas) 1928 ORR William Tannahill GIBSON Ryde R86/E302
	Researching: Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

	not good news on the birth then -- don't know any thing about Irish birth finding - sorry on the death cert did it say if he was a widower or married sent you a private message Mavis
