Can anyone tell me where to start please? I have the birth and death certificate for my uncle who was born 10/1/1908 and died aged 5 months on 20/6/1908. Sadly only just found out he existed.
He was my grandmothers first child. He was born and died in Brighton,East Sussex.
I am trying to find out where he was buried, but have not been able to find any other records for him. He died of meningitis. His parents were Florence Alice Nabbs (Pynn) and Archie William Nabbs.
Thanks in advance
Pat Hurrell

Hi Pat

You can ask the local (Brighton) council archives to undertake a search of cemeteries for you

They may charge a small fee, some do not

You would need to give them the full details of his death

It's all there:- Lists of Cemeteries, Charges, etc.

Unless the parents could afford a separate plot, or already had a family one - you may find that he was buried with a recently deceased unrelated adult.

Thanks everyone. I'll contact Brighton Council Archives and see if they can come up with anything. xx :-)
