Hi Jane,

Not sure if you know about this site but it has a lot of parish registers that can be viewed on line which may help you and it's free.

http://www.lincstothepast.com/

If you go to the Advanced search then type in the parish of interest for example Burton upon Stather baptisms then click on images button it will show you which images are available.

for example this looks like James Cook's baptism in the Burton upon Stather parish register (the bottom entry on the left hand page)

Hi Jane,

I don't usually have trouble but I've just tried and I'm having trouble with it, perhaps it's just a blip with the server as I am also having trouble loading my bank website at the moment.
