I had a look to see if the godparents were still around, in case they remembered anything.

However Leon died 1963:

Death Date: 21 Nov 1963
Death Place: Plymouth
Registry: Exeter

Of 4 College Avenue Mannamead Plymouth .Died at St Peter's Hospital Henrietta St London WC2. Probate to Jeltje Emma Bryant, widow.

I can't trace Jeltje/Yeltje after that, despite the unusual name.

Is there anyone who can help me find where to find Church of Holy Cross, Yelverton, Plymouth Parish registers. I have an ancestor who was adopted but we have her baptism record:

We know that when she married my father her name was Sonia Mary GREEN - her (adopted) father was Raymond Albert GREEN single. she died 3 years ago today and I am trying to help my half-sister find out more. (we have different mothers and the same father)

I was adopted myself and ironically I found my father through Sonias marriage cert to him and now I have a half sister to their marriage and my sister would love to find if she has any living blood relatives
