Thank you everyone.
I am still following the family route on other sites, may have a lead so keeping my fingers crossed. I will follow Marjorie siblings line next.
I spoke to a friend who is in the army and has been for over 40 years. He told me it is unlikely that there is a photo of Marjorie in her records but to see if I could find a ATS army society as she is likely to have been photographed in a group photo rather than separately.
I will keep you all updated and thank you so much for all your suggestions and help, I would be lost without them.

Service records do not normally include photographs

I have WW2 service record of a relative, and it is merely a written document

I would still advise the 'family' route......................

My mother died in 1948, and I had no photos of her, until, in 2006, I got in touch with cousins I hadn't seen since WW2. They were her brother's sons, and they had photos of my mother

took a quick look and its same address as the mens service records

The following address should be used for family members wishing to access records of deceased soldiers

Army Personnel Centre,
Historical Disclosures,
Mail Point 555,
Kentigern House,
65 Brown Street,
Glasgow,
G2 8EX

I believe its about £30 plus and the wait is quite lengthy for them to send them . have seen its six months or more

I would think her picture was taken for ID for the forces .

Try google to see if there is an address you can apply to for her service record

Try researching her siblings......they are the most likely source of what you are looking for

IF the marriage cert confirms that her father was Fred

Hi,
Thank you everybody for your help. Sorry it has taken me so long to reply to you all but I have been away.
My side of the family is the Fabens and I have been in touch with all concerned and nobody has any photos of Marjorie. My grandfather was a photographer in the RAF but was away for most of the time Kitchie and Marjorie were married so whilst we have photos of Kitchie we we don't have any of Marjorie.
Unfortunately there is only one other person on GR who is researching Marjories family and they don't have any photos but thank you for the idea, I will try other sites and maybe I will get lucky.
Kitchie was in the army and although we know he spent some time in Egypt, he and the family travelled a lot so we are not aware of where they were and his children cannot remember so it is difficult to concentrate on local areas.
I have a copy of Kitchies and Marjories marriage certificate and the marriage was witnessed by my great grandmother and her husband who are have both passed on in the 60s. However, I did notice in the column marked 'rank or profession' Marjorie is listed as 'Private no.217418 ATS (weaver)'. It seems she was in the Auxiliary Territorial Service, which is part of the army. The couple married in 1945 during the 2nd World War so I don't know if this may be a lead, could anybody let me know if I would be able to find a picture of her in the army?
Thank you once again, for all your help, it is very kind of you all.

For accuracy, you need a copy of her marriage cert

IF it's the correct woman, she had four siblings.

Was Whittall her maiden name ?
Did she marry Kitchener Horace Faben ?

Does anyone have a copy of her marriage certificate?
Witnesses ( or bridesmaid / best man) are other people who could be checked in people's trees.

I know my parents had photos of friends' weddings they attended.

What about post-war parties for the area where she lived.?
Photography was not so widespread for many people, but significant events were recorded.
Think of anywhere that photos might have been taken.

You may need to research and look for her extended family eg. cousins etc. who also might have photos.

It would only be family I would think who may have a picture

Look on Search Trees to see if anyone is researching the family tree

Has anyone got a photograph of Marjorie Whittall born 1923 in Lancashire?
Sadly she died in 1952 and none of her children have any photos of her. They would dearly love to know what she looked like.
Thanks to anyone who can help.
