Manchester, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754-1930 about Elizabeth Fielding Name: Elizabeth Fielding Birth Year: abt 1842 Age: 40 Marriage Date: 20 Jul 1882 Parish: Manchester, St Philip Parish as it Appears: St Philip Manchester Father's Name: Charles Fielding Spouse's Name: James Ludlow Spouse's Father's Name: James Ludlow Reference Number: M299/3/2/5 Item Number: 4 Archive Roll: 858
James was 70 and a widower of 125 Bradford St. Both he and his father also named James were brickmakers.
Elizabeth was a 40 year old spinster of the same address (it saved on church fees!), father Charles Fielding, possibly a brick dealer. Witnesses George Worthington and Jane Bullock.
So Elizabeth wasn't Hartley's sister

The witnesses name is more likely to be Ludlow I should think and this marriage may then be connected?
Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1882 Surname Forename(s) Surname Forename(s) Church / Register Office Registers At Reference LUDLOW James FIELDING Elizabeth Manchester, St. Philip Manchester 93/5/131
Unfortunately I can only look at images of the Parish Registers at that church up until 1881 :-(

Please can someone have a look to see who Susannah Woodman married in Sept quarter 1908 in chorlton. I have tried freebmd and she is there. The trouble is someone said she possibly married Frederick louis Chorley and I cant see him there.
I have frederick louis Chorley marrying susannah Fielding in Chorlton in Dec 1915. So I am trying to find out who Susannah Woodman married and who Frederick louis Chorley married.
The other clue I have been given regarding Susannah woodman is that she had a daughter Stella Chorley in 1920. Stella is on freebmd with mothers maiden name as Woodman. I cant find a marriage on freebmd for a woodman and chorley.
Thanks for your help
Jane Thanks
