That is possible I know he did not retire from sea until between 1851 and 1861 when he was living in Sunderland. |

Unfortunately a James Drummond of that birth pops up on the early census still in Stirlingshire and not Sunderland where his wife and children now live while he is probably at sea till he turns up in 1861 |

HI Gins the tree you have looked at could be mine.There are a few trees with the same information but having contacted the various tree owners no one can definitely say the James Drummond who married in Whitby is the James Drummond from Kinross. His age matches but so do a number of others, all we have is he was from Scotland around 1788. Sometimes guessing can be so wrong. |
