1066ronnie Report 27 Apr 2014 18:32

John is my cousin, according to 1911 census there were 5 children born with 2 living Jessie 1898 and Eva 1908. they were married in 1892 so I presume they 3 children that died were between 1892 and 1911, my question is how can I find out when the 3 children died, and, when were they born?
Thanks beforehand for any help :-D

This is the family in 1901 so they were in this area until 1901 and must have moved before Eva was born.(just helps narrow down the area when looking.

I can't seem to find anything on Lancashire opc for the Stalybridge area either. Maybe the areas that I usually search in have better coverage?

Good luck! I thought you'd have the census records - I was posting them so that people were looking at the right areas a the right time and also Stalybridge seems to change from Cheshire to Lancashire?

hope someone else can help you. I've got to dash but I'll add this to my watched threads and I'll see if I can help when I've got some more time. :-D

Of course the only way to be sure these deaths are the right children for your couple is to see the death certificates.

***
Personally not sure about 4 deaths seeing as the 1911 census says 5 children born 3 died and also William & Arthur being born same year ( not seeing any twins on freebmd )
Maybe Arthur belongs to another couple as his death is not Stalybridge

WOOD Eva Mossley Tameside ALLEN MOS/13/53

Either child, William or Arthur, could have been theirs as by 1908 they were in the same district as Arthur's death registration. births were reg in different quarters - William Q1 and Arthur Q2 according to Freebmd.

1066ronnie Report 19 May 2014 20:06

Good Evening All you kind People,
Today I received the Birth Certificates of
Sarah (19/02/1899)
108 Cross Leech Street, Stalybridge (Registered 24/03/1899)
Alice (02/01/1902)
108 Cross Leech Street, Stalybridge (Registered 31/01/1902
Arthur (25/02/1904)
47 Walmsley Street, Stalybridge (Registered 05/04/1904)

That clears up part of my request, I will send for the death certificates within the next couple of days, also the birth certificate of William, to see if and why Williams Birth is 1904, according to records it appears to be, his death I have two page numbers, so not so easy, unless someone tells me different..
:-S :-S :-S
Thanks once again for all help :-D :-D :-D

1066ronnie Report 29 May 2014 21:52

Oops!!! Hello All,
Sorry about above, as marked above by mistake, Today I received the death certs of Alice and Sarah which are fine.
The birth cert for William I also received, but, alas not the correct one it gives him born 16/12/1903 and registered 26/01/1904 so Annie could not have had 2 children in 2 months, the cert gives a Annie Wood formerly Allen as his mother, the cert states his father as a Thomas Wood he was a Hawker!! and their address as 78 Crescent Street, Dukinfiled so I think we can rule out William as part of that family, I am waiting for his death cert so it looks like I've spent £18.50p to no avail although it's cleared up the mystery of Arthur and William :-( :-(
Thanks all who have helped, much appreciated, unless there are anymore comments we'll call this thread as answered.
Thanks once again :-D :-D :-D
