Everyone now gets very few Hot Matches, and this is because GR were asked by some members to change the way that Hot Matches were created. This was about 1 year to 18 mths ago,

They were asked to changed and tighten up the match criteria which they did.

So now if you have John Smith born 1899 in Kennington, Surrey, but someone else has him as Kennington, London then that will not show up as a match. And that is a very basic type of match.

we'll I 'd still like to get mine . I come on GR in bursts of intensity + might not be on for a fortnight .would hate to miss a message ; I know matches are on search .but have just discovered the use of "Relatives" key .
When I've had some sleep may try hand at cross referencing lists with trees .

Most of the so-called 'hot' matches were tepid.....at best

I tend to ignore most of my hot matches because I have a tree in my husbands name and most of the hot matches are between me and him! But the last unseen hotmatch I have is Feb 9th

I can't even remember the last time i received a "Hot Match"

I used to receive Hot Matches regularly when i first joined this site...........but not anymore.

The best way to find connections........is to use the "Search" facility above..........and click on "Search All Members Trees" from the drop down menu.

They used to update Hot Matches every two weeks. If they are still doing it perhaps your matches are on their way!

I have never had a hot match ...yet know that my sister has added same mutual ancestors to her tree recently .
My cousin has just created a GR tree+ our shared grandparents should be hot matches .
Does this facility no longer work ?
