I'm trying to help a friend who is searching for information on William FIDLER (1816? - 1872) who was born in Witney Oxfordshire. Also his wife, Susannah HAWKINS, (1816? - 1883) also born in Witney Oxfordshire.

The above information has been handed down but can't be verified.
Neither of us can find Williams birth, or for that matter, we can't his marriage either.

I thank you for the info that you have found. The 1871 is correct, but,
I have now found out that there is a son. Reuben FIDLER, (1842 - 1922) who was born in Witney.

Which does not tie in with the census, the census as I see it is the right family
I will talk to him about the children and then come back here.
