Hi my grandma Joyce who died 20 years ago never mentioned my Dads father nor did anyone in the family so I have very limited information. My grandma married again that year in 1952 to Wazal Kobewka who was ukranian. |

As he seems to have been illegitimate, you are going to be limited to looking for only his mother's family |

The marriage isn't coming up on the index because he seems to have been mistranscribed as Straub |

If no dad named then this looks like his mum was a single mum |

Hi I am new to this and need a bit if guidance please. As my father has no details about his father I have decided to try and find something out for him. All I have is my grandfathers marriage and death certificate, on the marriage certificate it states that he was in the forces but I don't know where to go to find out more. It states a private no 1470675 ( not sure about the last digit as it is in the crease of the certificate) RA06. From this I have no idea where to go from here so if if anyone could please help me it would be greatly appreciated. |
