I am asking for information about my grandmother Fanny Hookings and her family. I know she was born in Exeter in 1889, she married my grandfather Edward Henry Hore in Exeter in 1905. I have found information that she was also known as Phillips. I have found a Fanny Phillips who was living with my grand father, grandmother described as a boarder, Does anyone have any information about her and her family. |

Slightly more detail on the marriage though if Louis has a copy of the cert proper it would help to know if it says anything about the name and occupation of her father, if one is mentioned, and names of witnesses in case they give a lead. |

To clarify my post Fanny Hookings was my grandmother. It says in the 1911 Census that she was born in Exeter. She was living then in East Stone house, married to my grandfather Edward Henry Hore. I found a bitrh recorded for a Fanny Hooking in Exeter, which I think is hers. The information about being called Phillips has come from another source which was old when I found it and I have not been able to contact this source. From checking the census I have found Fanny Phillips living with Sarah Ann Joint. She was my the grandmother of Edward Henry Hore by her first husband Edward Hore. What I am not sure is if this information is correct and if there is anyway I can find out.. Some one has tried to research her in the past and may have some information. |
