Yes, Chris, that's her.
The address on the census image is Six Houses Bank, same as on the death record.

Her son William's fortunes declined after her death.
He's a pauper in the workhouse 1861, 1871, and 1881, and died 1882.

Thanks Chris and ArgyllGran.

How would you advise best to find Eleanor's husband name?

Thanks Chris - do you have access to the National Burial Index?

Long shot, but looking for a burial on Ann Broughton in Pinchbeck between 1810-1845.

She was a sister of William Waite, so looking for her burial.

Thanks,

Peter

(some Lincs. on above, not seeing Pinchbeck, although things FMP upside down at the moment!)

Perhaps below, using soundex option, otherwise Lincolnshire Archives.

The woman's death cert should say whose widow she was....................a copy of it will cost £9.25

Lincolnshire PR's are on FMP......searchable only by Parish

Have you looked to see whether Ann Broughton is on 1841 census?

What leads you to the (very wide) time-scale you have suggested for her death?

Peter

Peter Report 3 Apr 2014 14:29

Hi Chris and Reggie - basically I've returned to a bit of a difficult branch of my tree after some months and noticed I had placed a death for Ann Broughton (nee Waite) as being in Pinchbeck, Lincs in 1821 ... I THINK I got this from my copy of the NBI3 which isn't working since my laptop died etc. So need to call about that.

Anyway, yes, have searched the 1841 and 1851 for a Samuel and Ann Waite and nothing and although people did move, the districts are not nessesarily the 'correct' ones for my family.

Hence the look up for the 1821 burial and another search for Samuel (although my own personal one wasn't fruitful).

So the wide timescale ... Ann had a child in Surfleet in 1811 and he was buried in Gosberton a few weeks later. So looking really for a death from then until 1841.

Yeah thank you Chris - I'm been using freereg a lot with that family.

I do saw the 17 age mentioned and need to see the original. Not sure it has been transcribed correctly.
