Thanks to Chris & Argyllgran for the VAD links. I have already contacted the Red Cross and asked them to search their records but unfortunately they did not have any other information than name, where served & when enlisted. They had no information on family, age or when discharged. Will just have to keep looking. |

Thanks for all the replies most which I have replied to directly. Unfortunately most do not give me any additional leads as they do not fit the little information I have. The reference from Joseph & Chris is the most promising but again tenuous as none of the information I have gathered suggests that she was a staff nurse in the VAD just a general nurse and I have no reference of any of the family having links with Leicester but I will follow them up. |

I am trying to find relatives of Miss Mary H Goodall who served in the Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) in Darlington in 1915-1918. She served at the 6th Durham VAD Hospital, Woodside, Darlington. |
