Ann, Thanks. I think the Esther is one of the children and not the wife. She does seem elusive. The Elizabeth Lloyd looks promising but I can't find anything to convince me.

I am looking for the wife of:
William Davies, Ship Builder, Chepstow, b 1760? m 1790? d Mar 1831

Children:
Ann George (nee Davies) Chepstow b 1793 m Jun 1816 d Nov 1855
Mary Waters (nee Davies) Chepstow b 1794
Esther Davis ( Davies ) b 1795
Joseph Davies Chepstow b 1798 m d Sep 1860
Elizabeth Evans (nee Davies) b m d

William’s will only mentions “my wife” and does not name her but it does name all the children. It names a property “Formerly occupied by Mrs Lloyd”
He lived all his life in Chepstow as far as I can tell and owned several properties including The Lord Nelson Inn, Lower Church Street

He was also in partnership around 1810 with George Buckle banker, merchant and High Sheriff of Monmouthshire.

Could it be this one?
