I'm trying to find information on Olive Prideau White, born 1904. Birth recorded as Guisborough District, Yorkshire, but no mother's maiden name on record. Found her in the 1911 census as living with Uncle/Aunt. That's all I know. Will I have to send for her birth cert or does anyone have any ideas? Thanks |

think it would be a good idea to get the certificate, that way you will know who her parents were. With a name like White it could prove difficult otherwise. |

If this is the 1911 then she was born in Brotton - which ties in quite well with her possible parent's marriage |

Marriage of the Aunt and uncle....so John and Rosina must be her parents |

Thank you all so very much. The information provided appears to tie in completely. I will send for the certificate, but I think you have filled in a lot of gaps already. :-D |

Thank you Jax. I know who Valerie is and will get in touch. Not spent much time on this side but I know the more recent history, it's just going further back. |

Great info. I'm being really cheeky taking your time but I've been looking to see if John Parker White re-married?? I found a marriage for a John Parker Brown to Emily Wilson in 1913. Is it possible to see if there were any children if I'm right with this? Thank you so much! |

He-he ... yes, you're right! Don't know where "Brown" came from. I need to take a break before I check the sites! Thank-you, much appreciated. |
